Merry Go Round

January 31, 2015
This cute boy was so excited to ride the little Merry Go Round today!

McDonalds Break!

These two cuties love their life on the run! We are always speeding from one place to the next and very rarely take the time for a lunch break at McDonalds. So it was a special treat when I suggested we do it today. They were so excited they could hardly stand it! Liv, of course, made s new friend and Davis was her little shadow!

Dance Party!

One of our favorite games is dancing and then playing back our dances in slow motion! We are all rolling on the floor as we watch them!

Playing with Daddy!

Daddy always comes up with all kinds of fun games for us to play! Tonight we all took turns sitting on him while he shook our arms and made is dance, while the kids lip synced the songs he was singing!

Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day

Today was a big day!  We have reached a big milestone in our family.

Today mom took all four kids to the movie... alone... And it was... Fun!  All four kids can now officially sit through a movie and enjoy it! And it wasn't even a cartoon! We decided it would be fun to go to the Kaysville Theater and see Alenxander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.  It was so fun! Hunter still hates the part before the movie where everyone says "eeeewwwwwweeee", and mom still yells ut the loudest! It was a funny movie, the popcorn was amazing the the kids were even better! GREAT way to spend a Saturday!

Potty Time

Potty time is a special time!
First we sit on the potty.
Then we pee on the floor..
... Then we point it down and finish!
Then we dump it in the big potty! Yay!
Then, of course, we have to do the potty dance!
Davis knows what to do, and every day we get a little bit closer! I got him some Buzz Lightyear underwear and he was so sad when he peed on Buzz that he went to his drawer pulled out the rest of his new undies and took them straight to the garbage!

We'll get there one day!

4th Grade Natural History Museum

Thursday January 22, 2015
Today was Hunts turn for the natural history museum field trip. We had so much fun! We loved checking out a. The dinosaurs that loved in Utah, all the "cool" bugs, and designing our own earthquake proof building. Of course there was not a serious moment with these goofballs, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Soakin up Rays!

It may be the middle of winter, and it may only be 39 degrees out. But with this beautiful sunshine it may as well be 75!!! We were soakin up the Rays today!!! In fact I ran in the house to grab my camera and came back to find Davos laying out on the front steps! It's never too early in the season for a tan!

Piano Recital

Monday January 19, 2015
The kids had their end of semester piano recital tonight. They have practiced hard on each of their pieces and did a great job! Hunter played "Dance in F" and "The Return" and Sami played "Arabesque" and "I'm a Little Tea Pot"
This coming semester is Hunts last semester in group lessons, then he graduates to private lessons! Yahoo!!!

Carnival makeovers

No school today! So the girls decided to do "carnival" makeovers: butterflies and other makeup designs on their faces! They did a great job!

Best Sisters!

These girls, just like most sisters, tend tone best friends or worst enemies! I love moments like these when they are besties! Sunday night when we were having a card night, they were being so cute! They were hugging, and dancing and holding hands!bae had school off on Monday so they even had a "sleepover" in Sami's bed!  I love it!!!

Uno!

When Sami had her baptism meeting with the primary president she was asked what her favorite thing to do with her family was... It was hands down UNI! Why? Because she "always wins!" Lol she does win an aweful lot! We LOVE playing games together especially  Uno!

Sami and Davis

These cute kids are two peas in a pod! They have the same spunky personality and I love it! Saturday, Sami was playing with Davis and taking funny pictures and making videos of him. Davis, Of course, was eating up the attention!

Hill Airplane Museum

Saturday January 17, 2015

Today we went to the Hill Air Forcs Base airplane museum with our neighbors, the DeFays. It was really cool!  Hunter especially loved all the videos of old footage from World War II. He would be running around crazy looking at all the awesome planes and then he would freeze when he came upon a video and he would sit and watch it and would not make a sound! He was really cute with Davis too! They were buddies. He walked him around and would lift him up to show him things! The girls thought it was cool at first, but it didn't take too long for them to be ready to go back home to painting nails and other "girl stuff"! It was a nice outing though and much better than being trapped at home!

Sleepy boy

This is how Davis usually falls asleep... Watching the "Woody Buzz" on the iPad!

Movie night

After Sami's night out, we all settled down for a late night movie... Apparently too late night! Liv and Jackson didn't make it! After the movie we couldn't wake Jackson up! All of the sudden he woke with a start and sat straight up! We were laughing so hard!

Sami's birthday night out!

January 10, 2015
When our kids turn 8, their baptism is considered their birthday party. So to celebrate on their birthday they get a night out with Mom and Dad.
For Sami's night out we did a girls night out with Mommy and Sami! First we took her baptism pictures at the Salt Lake Temple. For dinner she chose Pizza Factory! We had so much much fun being silly and stuffing our faces with pizza and giant breadsticks! We were laughing so hard Sami fell off her seat! Which only made us laugh harder! After that she decided she wanted a new pair of boots, so we went boot shopping. Then off for a manicure! Then we made a quick stop to pick out a toy ( she chose makeup, Ever   High hair stuff and a mirror that she could decorate). Then we picked up cousins Halle and Lexi for a late night movie! Such a fun day and so much fun to have some one on one time with my princess that is growing up too fast!!

What cake batter?

Daddy Loves Sami!

When Sami came upstairs on her birthday morning she had a very special surprise waiting for her on the counter... Flowers from Daddy! What a great way to start off her day!

Sami's baptism pictures

A couple days after Christmas we attempted a baptism photo shoot for Sami... It didn't go well! She tried so hard to be brave, but there was a seriously arctic wind blowing that was MISERABLE! We got two pictures and then ran straight back to the car! She looks beautiful, but couldn't hold backyhr tears everytime that wind bit her:
So on January 10, as part of our mommy daughter date for her birthday we took a redo! Much better! We had a ton of fun being silly! We came equipped with a heavy coat to wear between pictures, hand and body warmers and treats!  There were a million missionaries at temple square that day, and Sami did NOT like it when they would stop and watch her getting her picture taken! But we came up with a little trick to help her smile when she was cold or annoyed: she would think about her friend Avery! She couldn't help nuts mile and even laugh just thinking about her silly friend! We got so many gorgeous pictures of her this time!

McDonalds Rookie

January 10, 2015
Every Saturday morning Daddy takes the kids to McDonalds for some Daddy time! It's a tradition the kids love and look forward to every weekend! Daddy is in St. George this weekend, so the kids decided it would be ok to settle for a Mommy substutution! They were so nice to show me the ropes! Hunt came with me to the register and ordered what he knew everyone would want and distributed the food at the table. Sami got everyone straws and Liv took care of Davis in the playground.  When Sami was still hungry Hunt ordered more food for her all by himself! Such big helpers, taking charge for this McDonalds breakfast rookie!

Buzz Lightyear!

Ever since Disneyland Davis is OBSESSED with Buzz Lightyear! So how convenient was it that "he" happened to be at the kids school today when wewent  there for Sami's birthday table lunch!

Davis saw this cut out and yelled, "I see Buzz Lightyear!" And ran up to him! He just stood there looking at him for a while before he would actually look at me for a picture!

Birthday Table

January 9, 2015
Liv, Davis and I got to join Sami for lunch today at the birthday table! She chose Subway for her lunch! We sat with her friend Hadley and she got to be the star for the hour! She was so cute to introduce her family to the principal, Mrs J, when she came walking around to say hello to everyone!
Priceless time with my favorite kiddos!

Silly birthday buddies

January 9, 2015

This is Sami's friend Hadley. Hadley is the new girl at school this year and Sami, remembering what it is like to be the new kid, befriended Hadley right away. Now they are good buddies! They also share January birthdays! We got to share the birthday table at school today! When we decided to take a picture of the two of them together Sami was swalling her last bite of sandwich and went crossed eyed getting it down as I took the picture! I couldn't stop laughing! I showed the girls the silly picture and they broke out in a fit of giggle too, and could NOT stop! We finally got a "serious" picture, but I love the personality that shines through on the silly ones!

Face Time

January 8, 2015
When Daddy is on the road we try to call him on face time every night so we can tell him about our day and say goodnight. Last night these two goofballs had Dad in stitches!!

A little comic relief before bed never hurt anyone!

2nd Grade Natural History Museum Trip

January 8, 2015
Today I got to join Sami on a field trip to the Utah Natural History Museum. We had a blast! This kids loved running around exploring all the cool exhibits. They got to feel a real dinosaur tooth, Sami was a little grossed out (see picture above), design their own earthquake proof building and make a sand dunes dust devil. Their favorite exhibit by far was the dinosaurs. They were surprised by how many dinosaurs lived in Utah, and loved getting to "dig for bones". It's so fun to see Sami in her element with her friends. I love seeing what a natural leader she is, and how people just gravitate to her!

Love this girl so much!

PB Hold The J Please

This funny boy is a boy of habit... I don't know WHERE he gets that from😂
Every morning for the past couple of months he passes on cereal, pancakes, waffles, even doughnuts and INSISTS on a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast! No jam, just straight up peanut butter on white bread with a side of milk!
AND it has to be served an hour after he gets up... he is not a first thing in the morning breakfaster!

❤️ him!

Sami'isms

Sami {from inside the car with Liv}: I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry
Mom: What happened?
Sami: I accidentally punched Livy because I was just really stressed out!

War!

January 6, 2015

These hooligans got caught doorbell ditching us! Lol! It ended up turning into an all out snowball war!  I could hear them plotting to ring and throw a snowball next time so I just opened it a crack and sure enough a snowball came flying and hit the door... Buuuut Mom won in the end when I snuck around the back of the house and threw giant clumps of snow over the fence onto them as they prepped their next round of ammo!

Don't mess with this Mama!

Liv waiting to catch the culprits red handed...

Snow Painting!

January 5, 2015
Today we did some "snow painting" at our house for play group! The girls were in heaven and got very creative! They disappeared into a "Frozen" works where they were all Elsa creating their own colorful ice world! After that we warmed up with doughnuts and hot chocolate! We are lucky to have so many fun friends!!

Davis Robert

I'm honestly not sure how we ever lived without this little guy!! His little personality is coming out so much lately and it is so much fun to watch!
At 2 1/2 Davis loves:
-"DADA"!!! Davis is Daddy's little side kick! If you ask him who is best buddy is he grins and says " DaDa!" The first thing he says when he wakes up in the morning is "Where Dada go?" He is Dads little shadow, wherever Dad goes, Davis is right under his heels!
-"Lolof" he loves the movie "Frozen" and especially the character of the snowman "Olaf" anytime he sees any snowman he points and yells "Lolof"!
- "Guys" this is what he calls his action figures and he is obsessed with them he makes all the appropriate fighting sound effects when he plays with them, and when the actual toys are not available, he uses his hands as substitutes and makes them fight with all the sound effects!
- talking! Davis has turned out to be a lot like big sister Liv... It took a while to start talking, but once he started he hasn't stopped!
-"Wivy" ("Livy") these two spend all day together and are bestest buddies! Davis is heart broken and cries her name whenever she goes anywhere!
-Pops- The only person Davis will go to from Daddy is Pops! He loves his pops and tins right to him anytime he is around!
- peanut butter sandwiches! He doesn't want to eat much of anything else, especially for breakfast!!

We love this little guy! He keeps is laughing all the time and is such a light in our lives!

January 3, 2015

Just because Saturday was officially " go home day" doesn't mean the fun ended! We packed our stuff up and checked out of the hotel and headed out for another day full of playing and fun in the sun! Hunter and Daddy went golfing at St George Golf Course while the rest of us went back to the Spiderweb park for more fun! Daddy Hunter joined us there after golf and picked up our wild game of tag where we left off yesterday! All the other kids on the playground eventually joined in and Daddy officially earned the "cool dad" award! We stayed there til iee could see the sun was running out!  Then we grudgingly headed back to the car to head home!
It was a super quick weekend, but probably one of our top all time family trips!! So glad we didn't let the threat of snow keep us home because we got to enjoy the best weekend ever with our little family under crystal clear skies!!!

January 2, 2015

It was so awesome waking up Friday morning to the St George sunshine!!!
Friday Favs:
-St George Childrens Museum! The kids had a blast playing basketball, "grocery shopping" and "ice skating" in the new Frozen exhibit!
- Spiderweb Park! The fun continued at our favorite park with football, hiking and TAG on the playground with dad!!
- Hot tubbing Tound 2! We took the Polar Plunge challenge again! We have some brave kids... And parents!!
-Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner: yummy food, sports on tv on every wall, and iPads for each kid to play on... It doesn't get any better than that!
-Cold Stone and Uno! We took our favorite treat back to the hotel and had a crazy Uno tournament... Sami is the Uno Queen!! We also fit in some Xbox and a little High School Musical!
What a fun filled non stop day!!!!

New Years Eve 2014

We rang in 2015 just like we did 2014... at our house with all of our Garner cousins!
Uncle AJ made us yummy empanadas, and the rest of us brought enough food and munchies to keep our mouths and tummies full all night! The kids were in heaven playing downstairs with their cousins all night, and the "grown ups" played cards!
Of course, it wouldn't be a Garner New Years party without a grand fireworks show at midnight, courtesy of Dad and Uncle AJ!
What a great way to ring in a great new year!
Can't wait to see what 2015 has in store for us!!
